Home health care workers \u2014 primarily people of color and women \u2014 are the backbone of California\u2019s health care system. The\u00a0California Department of Aging\u2019s CalGrows<\/a>\u00a0program provides free online training for caregivers who are paid professionals and qualify to earn $6000 stipends, and for family caregivers who can get valuable skills that will help them and\/or open new career possibilities.<\/p>\n

Time is running out for this remarkable program which ends on August 30, and ethnic media need to spread the word about how caregivers can build skills, earn stipends and advance their careers.<\/p>\n
