(Belzoni, Mississippi): On March 30, 2021, the legal and original Board of Directors of the National Juneteenth Observance Foundation held a Special Meeting. The Board rendered a vote of no confidence with regards to Steve Williams and immediately removed him as the President of the National Juneteenth Observance Foundation. Mr.\u00a0Williams is no longer affiliated with the legal and original NJOF.<\/p>\n

The Board also rendered a vote of no confidence with regards to Deborah Evans and immediately removed her as the Secretary and Director of Communications of the National Juneteenth Observance Foundation. Mrs. Evans is no longer affiliated with the\u00a0legal and original NJOF.<\/p>\n

Mrs. Sylvia Myers, the wife of the late Rev. Dr. Ronald Myers, Sr. M.D., Founder of the National Juneteenth Observance Foundation was voted as the interim President of the legal and original National Juneteenth Observance Foundation. Treasurer Rev. Ray Smith was also voted as the interim Secretary of the legal and original National Juneteenth Observance Foundation.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
